Faith
The Beavers and many other Narnians cling to their faith that Aslan will return, even though they have lived for 100 years under the evil spell of endless winter. They never give up hope and are willing to fight the Witch even after they think Aslan has been taken from them.

Devotion
Lucy and Susan follow Aslan to his execution at the Stone Table and stay with him even though they are putting themselves in danger by doing so. Later they attempt to clean his body and are the first to see him alive.

Resurrection
Aslan seems to be unsure whether he will be there for the battle against the White Witch, but there is a “deeper magic” that brings him back to life.

Transformation
The first sign that Aslan is returning is the visit of Father Christmas. Christmas evokes the image of new birth, and we start to see a magical transformation as the entire land experiences an awakening. Birds sing, trees and bushes sprout, and streams flow as the Beavers and the children make their journey to meet Aslan.
