The Community Support Coordinator's manual (CSC), is designed to help you see God at work providing for all the needs of your campus ministry as well as the ministry expenses of individual students. There are two key strategies described here. First is the Monthly Budget Strategy , and second, the Special Request Using the Students Contacts Strategy.

The Vision for Fund Development

Vision- the ability to see God's preferable future-is the heartbeat of the personal mission statement. Vision flows from God's heart calling each of us to do something specific. God designs vision, we discover it. Here's a sample vision statement for your campus CSC:

My vision is to see all the funds raised up for our campus so that we can do all that God leads us to do. I want God to use me to raise funds so that the maximum number of students on my campus would hear the gospel, and fellow students could be built up through conferences, retreats and missions projects.

Do you want to see this happen on your campus? Do you want to reach your campus today and leave a legacy for tomorrow? Here are four good reasons to focus on fund development and a brief demographic study on who gives to charity.

What Does a CSC Do?

Some think it does not take any money to have a campus ministry. If you feel you need very little to operate your ministry, you can short-circuit the potential of your ministry. We can't give you a specific budget for your campus because every campus is different. But you need adequate financial backing to get your outreach started and help your ministry grow.

You need a leader to organize, recruit and direct the dollar effort. When you take the lead, you will empower others to help raise funds. You don't have to handle the bulk of the responsibilities. Instead invest the majority of your time in organizing, delegating and communicating vision. The energy you use is multiplied through others.

Your main task is to help remove any obstacles so fundraising is as natural as anything else you do in ministry. Do you have some gifts in organization, planning and motivating others? You qualify as the CSC for your campus! Walk with the Lord, pray, step out in faith, follow this manual and you'll see it happen.
