Halloween, Christmas/Winter Conference, Thanksgiving and Prayer

This is the last week before Halloween. There is always an interest in the supernatural, the occult and of course a number of horror movies that come out each year in the theater and on TV. You may have planned this already, but you may want to consider doing a special Halloween survey, addressing the topic of ghosts and demons, or even Satan himself. Afterwards, present the gospel message. It could work well for you. You’ll need to work fast as the time is upon us. Check out all of the Halloween resources on GodSquad.

As you think about the Christmas/Winter conference in your region, perhaps the number one reason for students not going is the expense. Raising funds and trusting God to provide is a great step of faith that can be used greatly in the lives of your students. Don’t let money be a road block. Check out the Conference Fund Raising Tools on GodSquad for ideas on how to raise scholarship money.

Be sure to consult the October Roadmap and the ideas for the last two weeks of October.

Knowing that November is a shorter month because of Thanksgiving break, you want to plan your weeks carefully to fit in a big evangelistic event, maybe a party to thank the Lord what He has done on your campus this semester, or a thanksgiving feast. Be creative, make it fun.

Finally, be sure to always keep prayer a regular emphasis in your ministry. Nothing happens apart from God moving in a mighty way on your campus.
