November RoadMap

This week we want you to print out the November Roadmap, study it with your leadership team and begin to make plans. You can keep a copy of the roadmap posted near your desk so you can refer to it each week. We hope it’s helpful as you work to reach your campus with the gospel message and seek to help others grow in their faith. You can also find the Roadmap on GodSquad.

October 30 to November 3

  1. Plan for your big November evangelistic event on campus.  You’ll want to play you event around the Thanksgiving break
  2. Spend a few minutes in your meeting reminding people to sign up for the Christmas/Winter conference in your region
  3. Consider a review of the “Big Six” in sharing the “Knowing God Personally” booklet.  There may be new people coming to your meetings at this time who are not sure about their relationship with God or have not yet been through this training.  You might take 25 minutes before, during or after your meeting.  Or hold a special meeting to go through this training at some other time.  This is foundational to all we do and will help you as you encourage people to go out witnessing on campus   You can also find this in the interactive training module “Start Reaching Your Campus."
  4. At your leadership meetings as you plan your weekly/Bible study meetings, be sure you stay on track with some solid teaching on the topics that continue to builds people’s faith as they share the gospel on campus.  "The Essentials” is an excellent resource written by Steve Douglass – president of Campus Crusade for Christ.

November 6 to November 10

  1. Continue to build momentum for the Christmas conference.
  2. Always be evaluating how you’re doing on campus – we want to always stay on the cutting edge of ministry
  3. Consider taking your leadership students through the “Making a Plan” and “Start Reaching Your Campus” courses in our interactive training modules.  It will be a great re-fresher and a time to re-focus.
  4. Remember that people can be cared for to be a part of your ministry through your weekly meetings and Bible studies.  But at times people need follow-up on a one-to-one personal level.  Go to “Appendix E” in Beginning and Leading a Small Group for some great ideas. Consider some personal follow-up that you can do to help people grow.

November 13 to November 17

  1. Encourage people while they are at home for Thanksgiving to make their final decision about the Christmas conference
  2. Big weekly evangelistic event for this week or right after the Thanksgiving break
  3. 2007 Summer Projects - If you have the summer project brochures in hand, pass them out this week and have people begin thinking about how they might spend their summer in 2007
  4. Begin this week to put some initial thinking into your semester plan for Spring of 2007.  The semester is flying by, you’ll went to take some time to carefully plan with your leadership team. You can find some Spring planning resources on GodSquad.

November 20 to November 24

  1. Thanksgiving week – if your meetings are on Monday or Tuesday, your attendance might be down, take the time during the meeting to pray and thank the Lord for what He has done this semester.  Turn it into a mini-party and praise time.

November 27 to December 1

  1. Continue to formulate plans for your Spring semester.  Here are some tips to help you. Even though this is more focused for a fall semester, the same principles and procedures equally apply for the spring semester.
  2. Solidify those going to the Christmas/Winter conference and begin this week and the next two, to set up rides to go together.  When people are home for the Christmas break it will be twice as hard to organize rides.  Do it soon and be sure everyone exchanges phone and email addresses.
  3. As you finish you plans for the month of December, plan a Christmas party to end the semester.
  4. Help everyone to continue looking into Summer Projects for 2007.  If you need more brochures be sure to contact your Campus Crusade staff coach.
