March Roadmap

March 5th - 9th

  1. Complete your plans for the big March evangelistic event.  Make at least one big push to get the gospel message out to the campus with an opportunity to follow-up on people who are interested.  Throw that gospel net out wide on campus – its how your ministry will grow.
  2. Spring break is this week or just around the corner.  Be sure to work your campus schedule around this week as you plan.
  3. Final call for Summer Projects.
  4. Check to make sure you have posters up all over campus.  Always give students an opportunity to know where to find you if they’re interested.

March 12th – 16th

  1. Finalize your big evangelistic event for your campus for this week or the next two.
  2. Take students out to engage others in spiritual conversations this week.  Use the Quest Survey and the Knowing God Personally booklet
  3. Is there anyone you need to train or re-train in the “Big Six”?  Take time during your one-on-one time to train others.
  4. Line up your weekly meeting speakers, topics for the rest of the semester.  You’re close to the end.  End strong.

March 19th – 23rd

  1. Use your time wisely, time is short for the semester.  Take a few minutes to evaluate your ministry with your leadership team this week.  This will begin preparing you to think about the fall  semester.
  2. Begin you initial plans for your April/Easter outreach.  If your semester ends in mid-May, this is a great way to go out for the semester.  The Easter story is always a powerful gospel message in itself.  You can use the “Passion of the Christ” movie, a talk on the resurrection, the reliability of scripture or other high powered topics.  More to come on this outreach.
  3. Begin the transfer of leadership from your graduating seniors/transferring student leaders, to your new leaders.  Go to the “Transferring  Leadership” module on learn.godsquad.com/
  4. Call students this week who have not been to your meeting in a while.  See how they’re doing and invite them back.

March 26th – 30th

  1. Finish planning your Easter/Evangelistic outreach for next month.
  2. Continue with the transfer of leadership from last week’s notes.  This is critical for the ministry to continue on your campus.  All your hard work will come to an end if you don’t leave the ministry with the right leadership after you leave.
  3. Now is also a good time to begin thinking about, praying, and planning for your fall semester.  You will continue this through part of April.  More notes on this topic to come.
  4. Begin this week to dream about reaching other ethnic group on your campus.  How large is the Latino, Asian, African American or International student population on your campus?  Is there any other group reaching this people group?  Is there something we might do starting this fall to reach these ethnic groups.  Here are some websites to check out:

    • Destino Movement - Destino is calling together the next generation of Christian leaders in the Hispanic community and throughout the world.
    • Epic Movement - At Epic we celebrate the story of Jesus, our hero, weaving his life and deeds into the Asian American communities across the nation.
    • Impact Movement - A movement of evangelism and discipleship among African Americans on the campus that extends into the community and ultimately, to the world.
    • Bridges International - Bridges International exists to help serve and mobilize the international student population in the USA and abroad. Many of our staff have lived, studied and worked overseas, and we understand the unique challenges facing international students.
