April Roadmap

April 2nd – April 6th

1. Easter is this coming Sunday – Finalize plans for your Easter outreach and pray for many open hearts this week on your campus. 
2. If necessary, you can do an Easter outreach next week.  Some good resources are on Godsquad.
3. This month be sure to carefully and prayerfully transition to the leadership team who will be in place for the fall.  Each year some on leadership may transfer or graduate, so choosing the next leaders is important.  Here are some guidelines: http://learn.godsquad.com/  look at the last module on “Transferring Leadership”. 
4. Continue planning for your fall semester with your leadership team. Check out the Fall Planning section on GodSquad.

April 9th – April 13th

1. Be thinking about how you might keep all the students in your ministry connected and being accountable to each other this summer.  You want to keep anyone from falling away this summer.  Check out More Than a Summer Survivor on GodSquad.
2. Plan your final big evangelistic event for this week or for early May if your classes do not end until late May or in June if you’re on a quarter system.
3. Think about gathering everyone’s email address, Facebook, and cell phone numbers so that you can stay in touch with everyone over the summer months.  That will allow you to prepare everyone and get them excited for the fall semester before they arrive in the fall.
4. Reconnect with everyone who has not been to the meetings in a while and invite them back. 

April 16th – April 20th

1. Plan a final ministry party to celebrate what God has done this year.  Plan this for the last week of classes.
2. With your leadership team, as you plan for the fall, take the time to evaluate how things went this Spring semester.  Here are some good questions to ask: http://www.godsquad.com/leading/evaluating.htm
3. Be sure to report your final semester statistics to your staff coach.  This is important to us.  Go GodSquad, fill in the stats, be sure to select your coach from the drop down menu, and you’re all set.  Should only take you 4-8 minutes unless you add a story or two which will only take you a few more minutes.  Thanks so much.
4. Make a copy of, or make sure everyone has the link to the “More Than a Summer Survival Survivor" on GodSquad.

April 23rd – April 27th

1. Finalize the plans for the fall semester/gather contact information from everyone/and have the final ministry party soon.
2. Be sure to report your stats for the semester by this week or next unless your semester ends in June.  Thanks.
3. Finalize plans for the fall semester.  Remember, the first week of class is the most important week of your entire year.  Students are most open to involvement.  Take full advantage of that first week. 
4. Read through this April Roadmap again and think though if there is anything you still need to do to end the year off well and prepare for the fall semester.  ‘
5. Be sure to reserve the room for the fall, secure permission to put up posters and banners, reserve a spot to do the fall survey and any other permission that are needed.  Plan ahead so you can hit the ground running this fall. 
6. Stay in touch with your staff coach with any question you may have both now and throughout the summer.  Get their cell phone numbers and email address so they can help answer questions.
