Plan for the Fall and Prepare for the Summer

Many of you have just reached the end of your semester. A few of you still have until June if you’re on the quarter system at your school. Here are some final important items to consider:

Careful Planning for the Fall

Be sure you have had a chance to connect with your student leaders on campus to plan for the fall so that your feet are hitting the ground running when you get back from the summer. If everyone have left for the summer, try to connect over email or Facebook. Here are some important things to consider:

1. Have your surveys planned and ready to go for the fall. Reserve a location, table and anything you need to make this happen. Nothing is easier and more effective for the time and energy used, to connect with people who will join your ministry for the entire year! Remember, the first two weeks of the semester are the most important of the entire year. Don’t miss this opportunity.
2. Be sure your weekly meetings are at the very best location and time of the week to gather the maximum number of students. Reserve that room now if you can.

Summer Survival

Our prayers are always that students would come back from the summer months encouraged and walking with God. Have everyone read and apply the “Summer Survival” packet.

Connect with Everyone During the Summer

Be sure to collect everyone’s email address and cell phone numbers in case you need to connect with them over the summer. You can send out some group emails to get people prepared for the fall as the summer winds down.

Last Tip of the Year

Please take time to celebrate what God has done in your ministry this year. Have a great summer and look for the next ministry tip in August.
