weekly ministry tips
Bible Studies/Weekly Meetings
This week, your semester is almost in full swing. It is important that you strive for excellence in all of your Bible studies/weekly meetings. Be prepared. Some students who come to your first meetings may be deciding whether they will come back. Here are some important reminders for your meetings:
1. Have a fun icebreaker. This will help to build community. Build a warm atmosphere where people will feel comfortable. Check out this site: http://www.residentassistant.com/games/icebreakers.htm
2. Have a sign-up or visitors sheet at each meeting so you can follow-up on new people.
3. Cover material in your meetings that will allow for discussion,
application, and transferability. We highly recommend the Essentials study series: http://www.godsquad.com/discipleship/essentials.htm
4. Explain who you are and your vision for the campus. Let people know what you're all about and that you'd like for them to join you:

5. Read through some of these important resources for leading quality meetings. There is a wealth of wisdom here:

Specifically read "Leading a Small Group" sections 2-7.
6. Finally, plan a ministry party in the next week or two if you have not had one yet. Get people to really mix, connect and bond with your ministry.
