weekly ministry tips
Easter
We trust that you are doing well and that your Spring break week will be a profitable one for you. We hope you will be able to plan for a good Easter outreach as it is coming up fairly soon. The resurrection of Christ is always a great message to communicate to your campus. If you need any other material to help you with this outreach, check out Leaderu.com This is a site loaded with scholarly Christian articles on many topics. Here's the link: leaderu.com. Type in "Easter" or "Resurrection" in the search and see all that comes up for you.
This past week I spoke with a campus ministry in Alaska and in the course of our conversation I shared with them a cool tip I want to share with you.
Cool Tip#1
At the end of your Bible study time each week, think about doing a 5 or 10 minute segment on ministry training. There are so many important things to train your students without replacing your normal Bible study plan. You could take this "ministry segment" to train your students each week in:
Evangelism (Big Six)
- How to do effective follow-up of a new or young believer
- Writing your personal testimony so you can share it with others
- How to lead a Bible study in your area of influence on campus
- Praying effectively for your movement
- How to answer tough question in evangelism, apologetics
The list can go on and on. There are so many things that will prepare your students for being multipliers just like Jesus did with His disciples.
For more ideas, check out the Godsquad, the blue tool bar on the left under “Browse Resources”. For next week, we might just start up some training ideas for your Bible studies.
Talk to you next week,
The GodSquad Team
