Keeping Jesus an issue on campus is one of our passionate goals for the campus ministry. Real hope and the anchor for our lives is truly found in Jesus. You’ve heard the term in these weekly tips called “Spiritual Conversations Everywhere”. Now there is an excellent tool to help us have these spiritual conversations all over campus in culturally sensitive ways. If you’ve been to the GodSquad site, you’ll notice that there is a link near the bottom of the page to a tool called The Overflow Show.
Billed as “5 Minutes to Better Witnessing,” Overflow takes ideas from the very top books on evangelism. The podcasts cover topies such as party evangelism, authenticity, deep conversation ideas, and handling objections to a variety of spiritual and current topics. Two of the recent podcasts have focused on scientists who believe and how Christianity is viewed in the public square. Overflow has increased confidence and excitement in sharing the gospel with many students and staff.
When you check out the episode list, you will see a brief description of the book. You, then, have an option of listening or downloading the five minute podcast. What’s new this fall are discussion guides for each episode. Each guide has an application challenge for the next week.
Check out some of the podcasts and see how you might integrate these 5 minutes shows into your Bible studies or with your leaders on campus. Encourage your students to have spiritual conversations everywhere.
